Where Beta Hospice provides care
Beta Hospice serves San Bernardino County, Riverside County, Los Angeles County and Orange County in Southern California. For Ventura County, please call to check your area first. We have one office, in San Bernardino, and our home market is the Inland Empire. You do not come to us. Nurses and the rest of the hospice team travel to wherever the person lives, whether that is a house, an apartment, an assisted living community or a nursing facility.

| Ventura County | Call to check your area. |
A hospice may serve only the area its California license allows. Within a served county, some distant communities may still be outside the area we can reach reliably. If you are not sure, call and ask. We will tell you plainly, and if we cannot serve you we will say so.
Does the patient have to travel?
No. Hospice and palliative care happen where the person lives. The nurse, hospice aide, social worker and chaplain come to you. Medicines, medical equipment and supplies related to the terminal illness are delivered. Nobody needs to visit our office to receive care.
We care for people wherever they call home, including nursing facilities, RCFEs (residential care facilities for the elderly) and board-and-care homes, in coordination with facility staff. See where care happens.
Where is the office?
Our one office is in San Bernardino, near the center of the Inland Empire valley. It is where our team meets, where records are kept and where you can visit us in person. Office details and hours are on the contact page.
We are honest about distance. Communities in San Bernardino County's valley and the city of Riverside are closest to us. Eastern Los Angeles County and northern Orange County are a moderate drive. The far side of Los Angeles County, south Orange County and Ventura County are a long drive from San Bernardino. Each county page says more about what that means.
How do you check a specific address?
Call us or use the contact page and give the city or ZIP code. A hospice nurse answers the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can visit when needed.
Doctors, discharge planners and facility staff can refer a patient and tell us where the patient is now. We confirm the address is in our area before anything else.
What is the same in every county?
The care itself. Read about hospice care, palliative care and paying for care. What differs by county is distance from our office, the local Medi-Cal managed care plans and the local help lines. Those details are on each county page below.
Common questions
Does Beta Hospice serve Riverside County?
Yes. Riverside County is part of our service area, and the city of Riverside is about 12 miles from our office. Western Riverside County, from Corona and Moreno Valley to Hemet and Temecula, is served; for the Coachella Valley, call first. See the Riverside County page.
Can hospice continue if the patient moves to another county?
If the new address is inside our service area, care continues. If it is outside, we help you transfer to a hospice that serves the new area. You may change hospices once in each benefit period under Medicare.
Do you serve people in assisted living and nursing facilities?
Yes, in the counties we serve, in coordination with the facility's staff. The person or their representative chooses the hospice, not the facility.
Is after-hours help available outside San Bernardino?
The same phone line covers the whole service area. A hospice nurse answers the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can visit when needed.
