The measurement software is Umami, open source, run by Beta on servers Beta controls in the United States; no other company receives the count. It records the page, the page before it, your language, screen size, browser type and a rough location. Visits from one browser are grouped by a code that changes every week; the network address itself is not kept. It also counts taps on a phone number, on a "call me back" link and on links to Beta's Assisted Living Waiver site, and measures how fast each page loads. It never records the number dialed or anything typed in a form.
How does the notice work?
On your first visit a short notice says that visit measurement is on and offers Manage preferences and I understand. Nothing waits for your answer, because nothing on this site needs permission before the page works: it sets no cookies, visit measurement sends nothing to any other company, and embedded video and maps stay off until you allow them. I understand keeps the defaults; Manage preferences opens the settings, where you can turn visit measurement off and embedded media on. The footer link "Cookie settings and your privacy choices" opens the same settings on every page.
A choice you save is remembered for 12 months, and then the defaults apply again: measurement on, embedded media off.
What happens with Global Privacy Control?
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser setting that tells websites you do not want your information sold or shared. If your browser sends a GPC signal, this site treats it as an opt-out of visit measurement. Measurement stays off, and the measurement switch in the settings panel is locked off. The settings panel cannot override the signal.
With GPC on, you can still open the settings and choose whether to allow embedded video and maps, since that choice is about content you ask to see.
How do you change your choices?

Use the footer link
Select "Cookie settings and your privacy choices" in the footer of any page. The settings panel opens.
- Step 2
Set each category
Switch visit measurement and embedded video and maps on or off, then select "Save choices". "Decline all optional" turns both off in one step.
- Step 3
It takes effect at once
If you turn measurement off, the page stops sending counts straight away. Your 12 months start again from the date of the new choice.
Browser controls
You can also clear this site's stored data in your browser's privacy or site settings. Doing so erases your saved choice, so the notice shows again on your next visit and the defaults apply: measurement on, embedded media off.
Private or incognito windows usually erase site data when you close them, which has the same effect. Blocking cookies and site data for this site does not break any page or form.
