Website privacy policy
This policy covers the website betahospice.com, run by Beta Hospice Care, Inc. The site collects only what you type into our two forms, plus the ordinary technical logs every web server keeps. It uses no advertising pixels, no session replay and no cross-site tracking. We do not sell or share your personal information. Visit counting is cookieless and stays off unless you opt in, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals.
Who we are and what this policy covers
Beta Hospice Care, Inc. ("Beta Hospice", "we") operates betahospice.com. This policy describes how the website handles personal information about visitors. Effective date: September 24, 2026.
It does not describe how we handle medical records of our patients. That is covered by our Notice of Privacy Practices. It also does not cover alwbeta.com, which has its own policy.
What personal information does the site collect?
You can read every page without giving us any information. We collect personal information only when you choose to send one of two forms.

Each answer is limited to 120 characters. We add the date and time the form was received. Both forms ask you not to type medical details, patient names, dates of birth, diagnoses or insurance numbers. We collect those by phone or secure fax, never through this website.
Technical information
Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider's servers automatically record technical details of each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and the browser and device type. We use logs to keep the site secure and working. Logs do not contain what you type into forms. The site is hosted by Vercel, Inc. in the United States. Vercel keeps these logs for a short period set by our plan, at most 30 days, and we do not export or store them anywhere else.
Form abuse protection. When a form is submitted, our server briefly uses the sender's IP address to limit repeated submissions. This count is held in memory for a short time and is not saved with the form or added to a profile. The forms also contain a hidden field that only automated programs fill in, which lets us discard spam without using any third-party tracking tool.
Your privacy choice. The site saves one item in your browser's local storage to remember your cookie and privacy choice. See the cookie policy.
What this website does not do
- No advertising pixels or tags from Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn or any other ad network.
- No session replay, heat maps or recording of your mouse movements or keystrokes.
- No sale of personal information, and no sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- No cross-site tracking and no advertising or social media cookies.
- No tag manager. Every script on the site is reviewed in code before release.
- No chat widgets, no social media widgets, and fonts are served from our own site.
- No request for your Medicare, Medi-Cal or Social Security number, ever, on this website.
Visit measurement, only if you opt in
We would like to know which pages are useful. If, and only if, you choose Accept or turn on "Visit measurement" in the cookie settings, the site loads a privacy-friendly measurement script that counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. No measurement script is installed at this time, so visit measurement is not in use even if you accept it. If we add one, we will name the vendor and where it processes data here before it goes live.
Until you opt in, the script does not load at all. It never loads on the refer and contact pages or their thank-you pages, even if you opted in. It is never used for advertising. Details are in the cookie policy.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out of visit measurement. Measurement stays off, and the consent banner cannot turn it on while the signal is present.
Browsers' older "Do Not Track" setting has no agreed standard. Because this site does no cross-site tracking for any visitor, and other parties cannot collect information about your activity over time and across websites through this site, your experience is the same whether or not Do Not Track is on.
How form information is handled
We ask for the minimum needed to call you back. Form submissions go from your browser to our own server over an encrypted connection, and from there to the intake system our staff use. Submissions are delivered only to systems covered by business associate agreements, which are the contracts HIPAA requires of vendors that handle health information for us. Today that is Beta's intake mailbox and intake system, each under a business associate agreement.
Form contents are not written to server logs. Staff notifications say only that a new inquiry has arrived. They do not contain what you typed.
We use form information to respond to your request. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not send marketing text messages. Sending a form does not start hospice care and does not make anyone a patient. Inquiries that do not lead to care are deleted or de-identified 90 days after the last contact, unless a complaint, a legal hold or a records requirement applies.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that host the site or deliver form submissions for us, under contract, and only so they can perform that work. We may disclose information if the law requires it, for example in response to a court order. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it.
How this policy relates to HIPAA
Beta Hospice is a health care provider covered by HIPAA and by California's Confidentiality of Medical Information Act. If you become a patient, or if information you send us becomes part of a patient's record, it is protected as health information, and our Notice of Privacy Practices describes your rights. Where that notice and this policy differ about health information, the notice controls.
Your California privacy rights
Medical information that Beta Hospice holds as a HIPAA covered entity is exempt from the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and is protected by HIPAA and California's Confidentiality of Medical Information Act instead. To the extent the CCPA applies to other information collected through this website, we collect only the contact details you type into a form and the technical log data described above, we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and you have the right to know, delete and correct that information and to limit its use.
Whether or not that law applies to us, you may ask what information we received from you through this website and ask us to correct or delete it, and we will respond. Information that has become part of a medical record is handled under the Notice of Privacy Practices instead.
Children
This website is written for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children online. If you believe a child has sent us information through a form, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), security headers that block unapproved third-party content, and server-side checks on every form. No website can promise perfect security, which is one reason we ask you to keep medical details out of web forms.
Links to other websites
We link to government websites such as Medicare.gov and to alwbeta.com. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not apply to them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will say so at the top of this page. Because the site keeps no account or email list for visitors, this page is where changes are announced.
