How we write and review this site
Every page on betahospice.com is written by Beta's care team, reviewed by a named person before it is published, dated, and re-checked on a schedule. Clinical pages are reviewed by our hospice medical director. Notices, cost and eligibility pages are reviewed by Beta's compliance lead. Each page lists its sources and its last review date, and you can tell us about a mistake at any time.

Who writes the pages
Beta's nurses, social workers and intake staff draft the pages, working from what families and referring clinicians ask us every day. Writing help, including software tools, is used for drafting and translation, and nothing goes live until a named person at Beta has read it and signed off. The byline "Beta Hospice care team" means exactly that: the people who provide the care wrote and checked the page.
Who reviews them, and what the labels mean
"Clinically reviewed by our medical director" means our hospice medical director, a California-licensed physician, read the page for medical accuracy and for how it describes eligibility, symptoms, medicines and what hospice does and does not do. The review label names the role; the medical director himself is introduced on the About and medical director pages, and his name and license are in each reviewed page's structured data.
"Reviewed by Beta Hospice compliance" means the page was checked by Beta's chief operating officer for accuracy against our license, our Medicare certification, our contracts and California and federal rules on what a hospice may say.
The reviewer's job is to keep the page true, plain and complete, not to make Beta look better. When a fact is not confirmed, the page says so or leaves it out.
Which sources we use
General statements about hospice are checked against primary sources, listed at the bottom of each page under "Sources".
- Medicare and Medi-Cal rules and coverage documents (Medicare.gov, CMS, DHCS)
- Federal and California regulations (42 CFR Part 418, California Health and Safety Code, CDPH guidance)
- Clinical guidelines from professional bodies, for the clinician pages
- Public records about Beta itself: Medicare Care Compare, the NPI registry, HCAI and CDPH Cal Health Find
- Facts about Beta's own services, staff and response times come from Beta's leadership and are re-confirmed when they change
How often pages are checked
Every page carries a "Last reviewed" date and a "Next review" date. Clinical pages are re-checked at least every six months. Notices, coverage and eligibility pages are re-checked at least once a year and whenever the underlying rule changes, for example a Medicare rate year or a Medi-Cal plan change. Pages about Beta's own services are updated the day a fact changes.
The Spanish site is a full translation of the English site. Each Spanish page was checked against its English original before approval, with software help for the translation and a line-by-line comparison of every threshold, timeframe and rule, and the two are kept in step: when an English page changes, its Spanish twin is updated in the same release.
What we will not do
We do not promise outcomes, we do not say a person qualifies for hospice before a physician has evaluated them, we do not describe hospice as free, and we do not invent reviews, awards or credentials. We do not use hidden text or tricks aimed at search engines or AI assistants; everything on a page is there for the person reading it.
This site never asks for a Medicare number, a diagnosis or other medical details in a form. A nurse asks those questions by phone.
How to report an error
If something on this site is wrong, out of date or unclear, tell us: email info@betahospice.com with the page address and what you saw, or call (909) 347-7000. Corrections to facts are made promptly and the review date is updated. Where a correction changes the meaning of a page, we say so on the page.
Questions about your own care or coverage are different from questions about this site. For those, call us; a hospice nurse answers 24 hours a day.

These sources support the general information on this page. For one personās care and coverage, talk with the hospice team.
You do not have to decide alone.
Call (909) 347-7000 any time, or leave your number and someone from Beta's hospice team will call you. No decision is needed to call. Most families start with a question.
Only a hospice doctor, together with the personās own doctor, can confirm hospice eligibility. A website cannot.
- A nurse answers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- You can stop hospice at any time
- You have the right to choose your hospice
