The pages on this site are general education. They are not medical, legal or financial advice, and they are not a substitute for talking with a doctor, nurse or other qualified professional who knows your situation. Do not delay or ignore professional advice because of something you read here.

Hospice is for people with a serious illness when a doctor certifies that life expectancy is six months or less if the illness runs its usual course. Our medical director and your doctor make that determination. A website cannot.

Information about Medicare, Medi-Cal and health plan coverage is a general summary. Your own coverage and costs depend on your plan and your circumstances. We check benefits and explain costs before care starts.

No patient relationship

Reading this site, calling us with a question, or sending the callback or referral form does not create a provider and patient relationship and does not start hospice care. A person becomes a hospice patient only after a physician certifies eligibility and the person, or their legal representative, signs an election statement with our licensed staff. Choosing hospice is your decision. You can stop hospice at any time and return to regular Medicare coverage. You have the right to choose your hospice.

Forms and privacy

Please do not put medical details, Medicare or Medi-Cal numbers, or Social Security numbers into any form on this site. How we handle what you send is explained in the privacy policy and cookie policy. How we handle patients' medical information is explained in the Notice of Privacy Practices.

Accuracy and changes

We work to keep this site accurate and we show review dates and sources on clinical pages. Laws, coverage rules and our services change, and a page may be out of date. The site is provided as is, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for loss that results from relying on it. If you see an error, please tell us through the contact page.

We link to websites we do not control, such as Medicare.gov, state agency sites and public registries, so you can check facts at the source. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for the content, accuracy or privacy practices of other sites. Government agencies do not endorse Beta Hospice by being linked here.

Use of our content and name

The text, design and logo of this site belong to Beta Hospice Care, Inc. or are used with permission. You may print or share pages for personal, non-commercial use, such as talking with your family or your doctor. Please do not copy the site for commercial use or present our content as your own.

Governing law, changes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute about them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Bernardino County, California.
