What does Beta Hospice do?

We provide hospice care: comfort-focused care for people with a serious illness when a doctor certifies that life expectancy is six months or less if the illness runs its usual course. A team of nurses, a hospice doctor, hospice aides, a social worker and a chaplain comes to wherever the person lives. Read more about hospice care and what hospice provides.

We also offer palliative care, which is extra support for symptoms and stress that can start earlier, while treatment continues. Palliative staffing and coverage are confirmed for each referral: medical and nursing oversight with other disciplines as needed, and the applicable plan and authorization verified before scheduling.

We support families with grief before and after a death. See bereavement support.

We care for people wherever they call home, including nursing facilities, RCFEs (residential care facilities for the elderly) and board-and-care homes, in coordination with facility staff.

Where do we serve?

Our one office is in San Bernardino, and our home market is San Bernardino County and the Inland Empire. We also serve Los Angeles County and Orange County. For Ventura County, please call to check your area first.

Hospice staff travel to the person. Nobody needs to come to our office to receive care. See the service area pages for each county.

Who owns and leads Beta Hospice?

Beta Hospice Care, Inc. is a for-profit California corporation. Medicare lists our ownership type as for-profit, and you can see that on our Care Compare profile. We say so plainly because ownership is one of the things regulators tell families to look at.

Choosing hospice is your decision. You can stop hospice at any time and return to regular Medicare coverage. You have the right to choose your hospice.
